Preparations for our Bologna Adventure began with finding a place to stay. One purpose for the trip is to ensure that we can live in the city as residents. We do not want to be tourists isolated in a hotel. We wanted to find a "home stay" in the residential district of the city. We located a "sunny, private room with bath" in a family home located on Via Lombardia, 10 minutes by bus from the city center. The home owner is an American who has lived in Bologna for 30 years.
